The Oxford Grade 5 Islamiyat curriculum (including series like Salaam Islamiyat and Islamiyat (Second Edition)) aims to build foundational Islamic knowledge, ethical values, and spiritual awareness. Aligned with the Single National Curriculum (SNC), it teaches key beliefs, Seerah (the Prophet's life), and Quranic teachings using engaging exercises and age-appropriate language.
Course Outline
Imaniat and Ibadat (Faith and Worship): Understanding core Islamic tenets, such as belief in the Day of Judgment (Akhirah), Allah's attributes, and the importance of prayer (Namaz), fasting, and Zakat.
Seerah and Islamic History: Studying key events in the life of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the importance of Khatm-e-Nabuwwat (Finality of Prophethood), and stories of earlier prophets.
Akhlaq and Adab (Ethics and Etiquettes): Fostering good moral character, social manners (e.g., respect for parents and elders), honesty, and community rights.
Quranic Recitation and Ahadith: Memorizing and understanding selected Surahs with translations, as well as learning authentic Ahadith that apply to daily life.
