The Federal Board (FBISE) Class 9,10 Physics curriculum, based on the National Book Foundation textbook, evaluates students on conceptual understanding rather than rote memorization. Core objectives include mastering the concepts of Kinematics, Dynamics, Physical Quantities, Gravitation, Work and Energy, Properties of Matter, and Thermal Properties, utilizing a Student Learning Outcomes (SLO) model.
Course Outline
To successfully navigate the course, students should focus on the following core domains and actionable resources:
- Physical Quantities & Measurement: Understanding standard base units, scientific notation, and precision vs. accuracy in measurements.
- Kinematics & Dynamics: Analyzing motion, interpreting velocity-time graphs, and applying Newton’s laws and the equations of motion.
- Turning Effect of Forces & Gravitation: Calculating center of mass, torques, and the Law of Gravitation.
- Work and Energy: Differentiating between kinetic and potential energy and calculating mechanical efficiency.
- Properties & Thermal Properties of Matter: Explaining the kinetic molecular model, Archimedes' principle, and thermal expansion.
