The FBISE Class 9 Chemistry course is designed to build foundational scientific skills. Its core objectives are to help students understand the physical world, connect matter and energy, and apply the Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) to everyday phenomena.
Course Outline
These objectives are met by mastering eight primary units:
- Fundamentals of Chemistry: Analyzing basic definitions and branches of chemistry.
- Structure of Atoms: Understanding atomic theories, isotopes, and electronic configurations.
- Periodic Table and Periodicity: Recognizing periodic trends.
- Structure of Molecules: Studying chemical bonds and intermolecular forces.
- Physical States of Matter: Applying gas laws and kinetic molecular theory.
- Solutions: Calculating concentrations and solubility.
- Electrochemistry: Explaining oxidation-reduction and electrolysis.
- Chemical Reactivity: Differentiating metals, non-metals, and their reactions.
