- Chemical Equilibrium: Develop an understanding of reversible reactions, dynamic equilibrium, and the application of \(K_{c}\) and Le Chatelier's Principle to predict shifts in chemical systems.
- Acids, Bases, and Salts: Identify the properties of acids and bases through various scientific theories (Arrhenius, Bronsted-Lowry, Lewis), calculate pH/pOH, and study salt preparation.
- Organic Chemistry: Introduce the basics of organic compounds, focusing on carbon's unique properties, structural formulas, and functional groups.
- Hydrocarbons: Classify hydrocarbons (alkanes, alkenes, and alkynes), understand their general formulas, and explore the mechanisms of their chemical reactions.
- Biochemistry: Explore the chemical foundations of biological systems, specifically studying carbohydrates, proteins, lipids, and nucleic acids.
- Environmental Chemistry (Atmosphere & Water): Understand atmospheric composition, air pollutants, and water chemistry, as well as the causes and prevention of environmental pollution.
