- Hardware: The CPU architecture (Von Neumann model), memory types (RAM, ROM, cache), and input/output devices.
- Software: Operating systems, system software, and the role of application software.
- Internet and the World Wide Web: Difference between the internet and web, URLs, HTTP/HTTPS, and web browsers.
- Automated Systems and Artificial Intelligence: Use of sensors, actuators, and basic concepts of AI.
Paper 2: Algorithms, Programming and Logic (Problem-Solving)
This paper tests your practical problem-solving skills, logic circuits, and programming proficiency (typically using pseudocode and Python).
- Algorithms and Problem-Solving: Designing algorithms, flowcharts, trace tables, and identifying/correcting errors.
- Programming: Programming concepts, variables, constants, arrays, selection, iteration, and subroutines (functions/procedures).
- Databases: Relational database structures, basic SQL queries, and data retrieval.
- Boolean Logic: Logic gates (AND, OR, NOT, NAND, NOR, XOR), truth tables, and constructing logic circuits.
